Before visiting Latoda Eco Lodge, we should know about the Geographic status here. Latoda Eco Lodge is a delightful eco-friendly cottage nestled in the lap of nature in the beautiful Valley called Jibhi Valley. Jibhi Valley is a small village in district Kullu, which is situated on both sides of a small river here. This river, whose Puranic name is Pushpabhadra, is the origin of this beautiful little river Pushpabhadra from the Jalori Pass which is situated about 10280 feet above sea level. This river is the only river in Himachal Pradesh, in which no hydro project is formed. This river merges with the Tirthan River in Banjar and gets its name Tirthan. In today's context, this river is called Tirthan. The Tirthan river originates from a place called Tirthan in the Tirthan valley. Teerth means a holy place. Therefore, the river Teerthan originates from a sacred place which also has its own history. Nowadays, pilgrimage is becoming famous all over the world and people of all days come to visit here. Another purpose of tourists coming is the Great Himalayan National Park spread in the jibhi and tirthan valley, which has been declared as UNESCO World Heritage since 2014. The Great Himalayan National Park is spread in 572 square kilometers of nature-rich forest and here is a park located in a small village. We will discuss about it separately. Right now we are only talking about the Latoda Eco Lodge located in the Jibhi Valley and the beautiful Valley around it.
Latoda Eco Lodge is not simply a cottage or just a home stay. The specialty of this cottage is that it has been made by the family here itself, the Latoda family has designed its architecture, bedding, washroom furniture all by themselves, The cottage is made of wood. And the chief of the Latoda Eco Lodge family, Mr. Teja Singh, has built this cottage himself. Mr. Teja Singh has spent his entire life designing the houses of wood i.e. Kathkuni Shelley. He has built more than 80 wooden houses so far, and Latoda Eco Lodge is his last project, and now Mr. Teja Singh is working on this project only. Today, students come to learn this art from him from different countries and for internship. The marketing work of Latoda Eco Lodge is looked after by Chief Founder Member Jagdish Thakur, a skilled guide with a master's degree in tourism himself and a young entrepreneur with full knowledge of the entire Himachal Pradesh. Jagdish Thakur started the work of Latoda Eco Lodge in Jibhi in the year 2011 and believes that whenever a tourist comes to you, he should be made familiar with the geography, people, culture, food and drinks of that place. There should be provided correct information about the history and various other facts of the place. Jagdish Thakur himself keeps this information and also shares this information with his tourists. Then tourists from all over the country and abroad come to hear stories about the area of Jagdish. The hosts Mr. Teja Singh and Jagdish Thakur's younger brother Yagya Thakur and his wife Phula Devi, whose food is remembered by every tourist staying here today. Yagya Thakur is a commerce graduate himself and is looking after the comforts and food of the visitors at Latoda Eco Lodge today. Yagya Thakur with his wife Phula takes good care of the tourists staying here, and tries to fulfil every demand of the tourist by saying only “YES sir”. Seeing their behavior and work efficiency, all tourists know them by the name of one man army.

Jalodi Pass is just 11 km from Latoda Eco Lodge. Bahu 9 km, Chehni Fort 9 km. and the local market is also 1-2 km.
